I would say it is primarily a lat exercise. It is a type of modified pullup. But this seems to isolate each side with the alternating movements.

Its also a great way to pick up injuries.

wow… very nice.. Look. I think that his body is good. I’m working towards something like that.. but seriously… who the hell wants to look like Greg Valentino??? I want to hear opinions. xD BTW, how long does it take to get that big aprox when you go to the gym 5 times a week and train with everything you got?

more guys get injuried by bench pressing more weight that they can handle vs. this exercise. just something to think about for any exercise done incorrectly can injury you. and every guy i know does the bench press. very few can pull this off

Greg Valentino has nothing to do with bodybuilding. He is the total antithesis of the bodybuilding ethos.

yobolion said in September 30th, 2008 at 8:20 pm

unusually functional exercise for a bodybuilder!

roughneckasian said in October 1st, 2008 at 12:09 am

why build any muscle if it is not functional. i bodybuild for the challenge, however, i like powerlifting for it pushes my physical power to its limits. football and flag football for the joy of competition. also using speed, power, agility, and endurance in order to be a good all around player. and once in a blue moon, do some sparing and lessons with the elite martial arts instructors and their students by put my abilities together and learning self defence. thats how i exercise

greg valentino is the reason i am careful with bodybuilding as arnold schwarzenegger is the reason why i am a bodybuilding fan :D

madmaxsdp said in October 18th, 2008 at 1:57 am

you should go to china and learn wing chun if you want to be a figher, and bodybuilding has nothing to do with self defense, the biggest dues usually get their asses kicked because their muscle bound, look at what happened to kimbo slice drop.

ncy614 said in November 3rd, 2008 at 3:39 pm

Well if you want to play football or if your a power lifer i guss, but if your a bodybuilder its all about tearing slow twitch muscle fiber down not fast twitch like what this guys doing.
