Kudos on the plug for Udo’s oil blend it is a great product. It is a nutritional supplement that most people need because our modern diets are just too high in omega 6 and too low in Omega 3’s. Corn feed cows, for an example, just don’t produce meat that’s rich with omega 3’s.

Using protein as an example on bad supplements however is a bit off because whey protein is whey protein. It’s all essentially 100% bioavialable. The hipe there is all the stuff they add to convince you to pay more.

I enjoyed this little infovideo.
Thanks and keep ‘em coming.
As far as your looks are concerned I think you look great! Your looks are what I am striving for – not the HUUUGE muscles that so many body builders are aiming for.

Only idiots take supplement. The supplement industry is a racket. The best supplement is food.

What kind of name is Tousignant? What race is that name from???

Powder/pill supplements are NOT EFFECTIVE. They are over-priced and not even regulated by the FDA. Most of the ingredients come from China, so God only knows what you’re actually putting into your body. Watch the movie “Bigger, Stronger, Faster” and you’ll see what I mean. Save your money, eat real food instead!

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE ANSWER THIS:

will you be able to workout almost on a daily basis and eat lots of protein to show muscle: but would it work if the person has a high calorie (meaning not even counting the calories, thought eating everything LOW calorie) but nonfat lowfat diet???

jordy39 said in November 7th, 2008 at 3:24 am

HE IS CORRECT. WHY?
stimulants = increased heart rate = higher energy output (calories used)
fat absorbers = fat consumed not absorbed son not counted towards calorie intake
carb absorbers = as above but for carbs
gauranteed way to lose weight is calories in less than calories out
more muscle = more calories needed (even at rest) because muscle is needed for any movement
fat = stored energy not used for movement
high heart rate through stimulants = heart attack in the long term

jordy39 said in November 7th, 2008 at 3:31 am

to lose weight (muscle + fat) you need to take in than you burn. You MUST count your calories + exercise to determine this. If you reduce your calories by more than 1000 per day, your body may go to starvation mode on hold fat, destroy muscle. Aim for 250-500 per day. High protein minimises muscle loss. Do weights to tone. Do this and you will transform your body. Dont overtrain…max 4 days weights, 3 days cardio with at least 2 days no exercise per week. Else u lose muscle.

NoJustice is partially right. If we ate a well balanced diet, we would not need supplements. Unfortunately, with our hectic lifestyles (i.e. college students) and fast food society, a few reasonable supplements like a store brand multi-vitamin/mineral will not hurt.

VedicIntelligentsia said in May 23rd, 2009 at 9:54 pm

Yeah man, it was very disturbing how he got the Mexicans to put together the supplements. I never take supplements anyway. I get everything I need from food.

VedicIntelligentsia said in May 23rd, 2009 at 9:57 pm

Right!
Eat food!

MegaMegatron123 said in July 22nd, 2009 at 6:07 pm

Could someone give examples of foods that are good to eat after a workout? Im not looking to go down the line of taking supplement so a insight would be great.

Thanks
